Spring Tryout Camp Gets Underway
After a well-deserved break following last year's championship success,
the Lions are once again back in action as they prepare for their
upcoming 2007 season. The North Shore bantam tryout camp got
underway on April 30th at the Catalogna Soccerplexe in Lachine where
about 70 hopefuls have shown up to earn a spot on either the Lions or
Cheetahs this season. So far, graduating players from the pee-wee
programs along with the returning players from last year's Cheetah's
squad have reported to camp. The returning Lions vets are due
back on Friday, May 11th. At this point, everyone is just getting
warmed up again after the winter break but it won't take long to get
back on track again. All the players are being put through their
paces to see who has what it takes to get a spot on one of our teams.
There is a lot of talent out there and we expect the competition
to be tough. The returning vets will definitely have their work
cut out for them when they come back.
Check out some pictures of the first day here.
