The Lions 2007 Offensive Line

Few people will put their bodies on the line for the benefit of others. Even fewer will do so without wanting credit for their efforts. But on the gridiron you will find five individuals who do just that. Play after play the offensive line give hits and take hits in the brutal battle that takes place in the trenches. There is no glory in being an offensive lineman and no stats that truly show their sacrifice. Where others accumulate stats and are given praise for their accomplishments the offensive line silently does their job so that others may reap the rewards. They are rarely acknowledged for their fight but without them the quarterback would never get the ball to the receivers and running backs wouldn’t gain a yard. They are both the front line of battle and the first line of defence where, for those who choose to do it, it is done for nothing more than pride and self-satisfaction. It is time that recognition is given and respect is paid to the overlooked few, the North Shore Lions offensive line.
