Lions Extend Unbeaten Streak

The Lions
extended their unbeaten streak last night with a 36-4 win over the
Richelieu Pirates. The big scorer of the night was running back
Josh George who ran in for two TD's. Sammy Mesidor also had a big
night on the ground as he had a long run for a TD later in
the game. Richie Elias and Jean-Fritz Charles each hauled in a TD
pass from QB Matt Leblanc and Joey Fulginiti was good on all 5
converts. The last remaining point came on a field goal attempt that went
wide.
The Lions defense
continued to dominate as they have all season by not allowing Richelieu
to score a TD on them. A QB sack by defensive end Oliver Bernardi
forced the Pirates QB to fumble the ball which was promptly recovered
by Eric Delavaud who was playing linebacker last night.
Next week the Lions
travel to St. Leonard to face the Cougars for the second time this
season. The game is at 18:00 on Saturday
night at Stade Hébert.
