Still Undefeated Lions pull Off A 42-14 Win In Rematch With Warriors

The Lions seem
to have put last week's game behind them as they managed to keep their
unbeaten streak alive with a decisive 42-14 victory over the Lasalle
Warriors. Andrew Hopkins added 3 more rushing TD's to his
team-leading total while Vincent Bourgon and Ernst Pierre got one each.
A much improved passing game produced 212 yards of offense where
Kyeon Nicely caught 3 passes for 81 yards and a TD. Jordan Tyrell
was also instrumental with 4 catches for 91 yards. Shawn Steen
was perfect on all 6 convert attempts.
On defense,
the Lions were invincible against the ground attack limiting the
Warriors to a paltry 12 yards in rushing. Glody Bomolo led the
defense with 4 tackles and a sack which accounted for a total of 31
lost yards for Lasalle. Other standouts on defense included Steen with
an interception and a fumble recovery, Mitchell Desmarteau with an
interception, and Chris Watson with a fumble recovery. Steven Gill and
Killian Moore each recorded a QB sack.
Next week, the
Lions are back home where they will host the St. Leonard Cougars at
Riverdale on Friday, September 26th. Game time is 8:00 PM.
