Mid-Season Victory In St. Lazare

The Lions finish
off the first half of their regular season with a decisive 49-0 victory
over the St. Lazare Stallions. Leading the scoring for the Lions
were Richie Elias and Spencer Karls who had two TD's each. Eric
Delavaud, Robin Schmidt, and Ross Olshansky also scored TD's on
Offence. QB Matt Leblanc threw for 4 TD's while backup QB Max St.
James got his first TD pass of the season. Joey Fulginiti was
good on 6 out of 7 convert attempts
and scored another single point when a missed field goal went through
the St. Lazare end-zone.
Fulginiti had
a big game in the defensive backfield getting two interceptions as Nick
Gaudreault added another one himself to his season's total.
The Lions
defense put tremendous pressure on the St. Lazare quarterback to finish
the game with
four QB sacks by Oliver Bernardi, Mark Continelli, Markens
Vilme and Francis Richard.
The Lions are back
home next week as they host the Richelieu Pirates to begin the second
half of their regular season. The game is at 20:00 on Friday
night at Riverdale.
