Wildcats Fall Victim to Lions

The North Shore
Lions continued in their quest towards an undefeated season last night
with a 50-7 romp over the Laurentian Wildcats. Leading the way in
scoring offensively was Running Back Eric Delavaud who ran in 2
touchdowns for the Lions. Also scoring majors were Ross
Olshansky, Richie Elias, Josh George, and Eric Locas. Corner Back
Joey Fulginiti played an outstanding game on defense as he ran back an
interception for a touchdown and was good on all 7 convert attempts.
The last remaining point for the Lions came when the Wildcats
conceded a point in their endzone on a missed field goal attempt by
Fulginiti.
Other key plays on
defense were contributed by Oliver Bernardi who got his first QB
sack of the season as well as Ben Heazle and Mark Continelli who
tag-teamed the Wildcats QB for the second sack of the night.
Heazle and Francis Richard also came up with fumble recoveries to
stop the Wildcats offensive drives.
The Lions travel to
St. Lazare for their next game where they will meet the Stallions for
the first time this season. Game time is Saturday, Sept. 9 at
16:00 at Westwood High School.
