Lions
beat St. Lazare Stallions 29 - 19.
Lions
now 4 - 0.
The
North Shore Lions took down another prey on Saturday afternoon
at Westwood park in St. Lazare.
The Lions ended up on the victorious side of a 29-19 score.
The Lions keep rolling along, with this win the Lions current winning
streak is now 73.
The Lions started the game quickly with a 20 yard toss from QB Jonathan
Doughlin into the corner of the endzone to Thomas Arnone.
The Stallions however retaliated quickly, on the ensuing kickoff they
returned
the ball deep into the Lions territory before scoring a touchdown 2
plays
later.
However the Lions came back on the subsequent series and seemed to have
scored a touchdown however the play was called back by the referre for
offensive interference. This seemed to be an
inspirational play for the Stallions as they came back downfield
and scored another
touchdown.
The Lions then came back and scored a single on a missed field goal by
Shawn Steen and then a touchdown by Cedric Joseph.
However the Stallions didn't give up and on another big play scored a
touchdown to take the lead into halftime at 19 - 15.
The second half was a different story. The Lions defense came out
on fire and a Zachary Cormier interception return all way down to the
Stallions 5 made it an easy score on the next play by Kevin Kyere.
It was lights out after that, the Lions defense didn't allow the
Stallions much in the second half.
The Lions offense scored another touchdown, this time by Tevin Gray and
that was all the scoring they would need.
The game ended with the Lions on top 29 -19.
The Lions next game will be played at Riverdale on Friday Sept 11th
20:00 vs. Lasalle Warriors.
