Lions Too Much For Stallions As St. Lazare Gets Beaten 34-14

The Lions proved to be more than the St. Lazare Stallions could handle as they chalked up their third victory in as many games this season beating the Stallions 34-14.  Offensively, rushing TD's were scored by Andrew Hopkins and receiver Kyeon Nicely who ran a surprize reverse around the end for 30 yards in the second half.  Taevon Nesfield scored the Lions first special teams TD this season with a spectacular 85 yard kickoff return to the St. Lazare endzone.

Shawn Steen had a big night scoring a defensive TD on an interception as well as connecting on 4 convert attempts.  Other defensive efforts were made by Glody Bomolo who added 2 more sacks to his total as well as Kyle McGuigan who led the defense with 7 tackles. Linebacker Thomas Quinn came up with an interception on St. Lazare's last offensive play of the game to finish off the game on a high note for the Lions defense.

The Lions begin a three game stretch of road games next week when they travel to Parc des Benevoles in Kirkland to take on their cross-town rivals, the Lakeshore Cougars.  The game is scheduled for Sunday, September 7th at 2:00 PM.
