Lions win Round 2 playoff game vs Sun Youth Hornets 48 - 6.

The North Shore Lions beat the Sun Youth Hornets 48 - 6 and advance to the QBFL finals.

The Lions got things started early and kept rolling with not much difficulty all day long.
After an interception by #12 Jaylan Grandison on the Hornets first possession of the game, the Lions offense, quickly turned that into a TD on a 5 yard run by #23 Cedric Joseph.  That was followed by a 25 yard field goal by #20 Shawn Steen.
On the first play of the second quarter Shawn Steen kicked a second field goal this time from 35 yards to increase the Lions lead to 16 - 0.  Shortly after, #34 Kevin Kyere runs it in from 8 yards out.  After the Lions defence recovered a fumble by #96 Mathieu Breton, #11 QB Jonathan Doughlin hooked up with #5 Tim Banfill on 45 yard pass and run TD.  With 30 seconds left in the first half, the Hornets scored their only points of the game on a Lions fumble return for a TD.
In the second half, Kevin Kyere busts one open for a 53 yard TD run, his second of the game.  After that, #35 Marco Rossi ran it in for a TD from 17 yards out. The final score of the game came on a half back option play from Cedric Joseph to #4 Skylar Bayliff for 18 yard TD pass.

The Lions defense once again came up big, not allowing any points. Interceptions on the day were 2 for Shawn Steen and 1 each for Jaylan Grandison and Eric Paquette, Mathieu Breton had a fumble recovery and #90 William Page had a QB sack.

The Lions will play the Laurentien Wildcats next Sunday November 15th, 11:30 at Stade Hebert in St. Leonard.
