Lions win Round 1 playoff game vs Lasalle Warriors 55 - 0.

The North Shore Lions bounced back from their first loss in 6 years, 2 weeks ago, to thoroughly trounce the Warriors.

The Lions got things rolling with a 25 yard run by #23 Cedric Joseph, which was followed by another 15 yard run by #34 Kevin Kyere.  The Lions defence than stopped the Warriors offense in their own end zone forcing them to give up a safety. After that, #20 Shawn Steen closed out the scoring in the first half with a 20 yard field goal.
At halftime the Lions led 19 -0.

In the second half, things quickly went from bad to worse for the Warriors, as the Lions defence came up with another big play, this time #53 Patrick Smith picked off the Warriors QB for the 5th time in the game and ran it all the way back to the house for another TD, the Lions then converted a 2 point play by David Byrns.  Shortly after that #35 Marco Rossi ran one in from 2 yards.  The Lions defence scored another TD, as #24 Eric Paquette picked off another pass and ran it back 25 yards.
After another Lions interception return gave the offense the ball on the Hornets ten yard line, #30 Jersey Henry ran the ball in for another TD.  The icing on the cake was a 65 yard punt return by Shawn Steen to close out the scoring at 55 - 0.
The Lions defence picked off 7 passes, 2 by Patrick Smith, 1 each for #2 Tevin Gray, #55 John-Anthony Taddio, #47 Troy Sinclair-Guy, #52 David Knot and Eric Paquette.

The Lions Round 2 playoff game will be at Riverdale on Saturday Nov. 7th at 14:00 vs the Sun Youth Hornets.
